This rates only apply for merchandise under
US$1000 dollars of declared value CIF (cost, insurance and freight).
They are equally applied for all types of products. Books, magazines, catalogs,
and general documentation do not pay taxes.
Compensatory Rates (anti-dumping
rates): For chinese products (specially toys and clothing) compensatory
rates from 80% to 350% of the merchandise value are applied. List

Import Declaration: Merkalink
uses a simplified courier service import declaration. The merchandise
imported under this type of declaration are for personal use only, and
not for reselling in Mexico (It's a NON DEDUCTIBLE Import declaration).

Origin of the product:
The origin of the product is the place where the merchandise was manufactured
(it is not the place where the product is bought). For further information

A Merkalink.com client can make all the deliveries he requires as long
as the total value of each shipment does not exceed US$1000 dollars,

Restrictions in the Products' Transportation in
Mexico
Prohibited Products: Alcoholic
drinks, perishable and easily rotten products, animal leather, fake
merchandise known as "pirate". Firearms, lab samples (of special handling,
toxic, or dangerous), animals (alive or dead), repair materials with
liquid remains, extraordinary valued products and precious stones, money
or coins, metals, negotiable credit instruments, natural plants, liquids,
pornographic material, any kind of cold steel, glass (in any form),
psychotropic substances (chemical precursories and basic chemical products).
The materials restricted by IATA are also excluded: explosives,
compressed gases, inflamable liquids, inflamable solids, magnetic objects,
oxivizing materials, radioactive products, toxic articles, irritating
materials, infectious substances and/or products that could damage the
airplane structure, and those containg inherent characteristics from
the mentioned above.
